Who can Inactivate Source Data?

Only Site data entry roles (CRC, Sub-I, PI) can inactivate/reactivate source data.

How to Inactivate/Reactivate Source Data

Source Data can only be inactivated after the initial data is submitted. A single data point can be inactivated by clicking the data point and clicking the Inactivate option and confirming you would like to inactivate the data point in the pop up modal. Inactivated data points can always be reactivated. Watch the video example below:

Additional Information

  • The action of inactivating and reactivating data will show on the audit trail.

  • Any queries on Inactivated Data still need to be responded to/resolved

  • This feature should only be used if the data is not applicable for the subject or if the data was never collected. If the data was not collected and should have been, be sure to submit a protocol deviation.
