Summary & Impact Assessment
The following updated version of platform.vial.com (v1.0.61) includes launch of Email Notifications (for select EDC trial data/events, for select users), as well as general improvements to the EDC and Site Startup platform.
This version update poses little to no risk of impact on your study’s data integrity, nor the overall stability and security of the platform. Overall system validation has been performed on new functionality, and existing functionality has been re-validated to ensure this version’s changes does not cause impact.
Note that v1.0.59 and v1.0.60 did not have any front end feature updates.
New Features
Email Notifications
Per the unique setup & UAT of a given study, certain EDC events (like form submission, queries, etc) now trigger email notifications for
Email Notifications are now enabled to be configured during the setup & UAT process of a given study. Notifications are triggered on trial events (like form submissions, queries, etc) and sent to the email account of applicable EDC users’ roles.
The following forms are now configurable to have notifications:
SAE
Video Capture
Pregnancy Form
Unmasking Documentation
Device Deviation
Protocol Deviation
The above forms can be customized by:
Form ‘event’: submission, query, edit
Notified user roles: CRC, PI, PM, CRA, DM
Additional Improvements & Updates
App Version and User Role title now displayed in side bar
Hiding data export option from tablets (now as desktop-only feature)
Fix issue where some adhoc forms would not be properly submitted
Fix for some users being unable to click and view 'View File' links from eCRFs
Fix for query table improperly rendering in some use cases
Fixed horizontal and vertical scrollbars throughout the app for better UX
Fixed erroneous ‘error’ popup for some users on home page
Fix for some users being unable to upload videos
Fix for ‘edit data’ modal contents overflowing off page
Fix for correct ‘task’ items to show for correct users & sites in Site Portal
