Introduction

All queries within a study can be viewed from the Query tab. Click on the study from the home page and select the Queries tab to the right of the Subjects tab.

Each column can be sorted and/or filtered to suit your needs. For example, you can filter for only open queries, and then sort by the query age (days since it was created).

How to Add a Data Query

Data Managers and Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) can assign queries to each data point in the Vial EDC.

To leave a query, click the icon in the query column to bring up the modal, add the query text, and save the query. The query status will update and the audit trail will captured when the query was raised and who raised it.

Open Queries will show in Red in the Query Column.

Only Data Managers and CRAs can create and resolve queries. CRCs and Investigators can only respond to the query text, not resolve it.

How to Respond to a Data Query

The number of open queries on a particular study is visible from the home page. Open the study and subject where the queries appear. Remember, queries are added to specific data fields and therefore the form needs to be viewed to open the query. The query can either be responded to via a text response or an edited datapoint.

Responded Queries will show in Yellow on the Query column.

How to Resolve a Data Query

When a site has responded to a query, the query status change also shows in the study tile of the home page. Click on the study and subject with open queries. Click the query icon in the subject page to filter the assessments for responded queries only. Open the assessment and click "Resolve" to resolve the query.

Resolved Queries will show in Green on the Query column.
