There are times when data needs to be edited after initial entry. This could be due to a data entry error, updated information, or another reason. Open the form and click on the initial saved value to edit the form.

Upon clicking to edit the form, you’ll see the option to edit or inactivate. To edit current data, you'll want to select "Edit", not "Inactivate". The Inactivate data feature will essentially "delete" the data point. The inactivate data feature is explained in more details in another article!

When you click Edit, the modal will pop up and you will be taken straight to the field you clicked to edit. Once you have made your change(s), the EDC will ask for a reason for the change. Apply the applicable reason and submit the form. You will see the change reflected in the data and see the previous value in the audit trail. The video below demos this process!
